BLCC Organized Long-Term Students to Visit and Study Exchange with Tianjin University
In order to make the long-term students understand more the cooperation program between BLCC and Tianjin University (TJU), on October 21, invited by Tianjin University, BLCC organized more than 60 students to visit and communicate with Tianjin University under the guidance of teacher Mr. Sun Wei Kai as the deputy director of the admission office, Mr. Feng Zhi Jun and Mrs. Yang Hai.
After the delegation arrived at Tianjin University, we were warmly welcomed by the School of International Education, Tianjin University. We visited the history Museum of Tianjin University. The school history museum specially assigned an English expositor to introduce the history, development status and prospect of Tianjin University in detail to us. The students had a comprehensive understanding of Tianjin University.
After looking at the history museum, we had the program presentation meeting which was held by the School of International Education, Tianjin University, and which was attended by Yang Qi, Zhang Tong and Li Xiao, teachers of the admission office of TJU. The teachers gave the details of the general situation of Tianjin University and also the courses offered by Tianjin University to international students.
During the meeting, the lecturer “Yang Qi” communicated and interacted with the students of BLCC, answering the questions that have been asked by students about admission qualification, course arrangement and scholarship. By visiting the school’s history museum and attending the presentation meeting, the students have a deeper understanding of Tianjin University from both macro and micro aspects, which will help them to have more confidence on their future study plan in China.
After the presentation, deputy director Mr. Sun Wei Kai and teacher Yang Qi held consultations concerning the details of further implementation of the cooperation program. The two sides agreed to continue promoting the implementation of the joint training program and to play a role in promoting the recruitment of international students.
After visiting Tianjin University, BLCC led the students to the ancient culture street of Tianjin for a study tour. Tianjin ancient culture street is a national 5A tourist attraction featuring “Chinese flavor, Tianjin flavor, culture flavor and ancient taste”, which is a valuable window to understand Chinese traditional culture.
The students lingered in the very Chinese characteristics of wood, silverware, color plastic, jade, clothing and calligraphy, tasted the Goubuli steamed stuffed buns, the Ear-Hole Fried Cakes, 18th Street hemp flowers and pancake, talked to merchants with the unskilled Chinese, closed to feel the amalgamation of this long traditional culture and developed modern culture of this mysterious country.
After visiting ancient culture street, we returned to Beijing by bus, and the trip to Tianjin was successfully concluded.
June 2017, BLCC and Tianjin University signed the “1+3” Chinese Language Undergraduate program cooperation agreement. On May this year, on the basis of the undergraduate major in the Chinese language, the two sides extended the cooperation program to all the majors offered by Tianjin University, and added the “1+4” multi-major undergraduate cooperation model, and the cooperation between BLCC and Tianjin University was further deepened. Finally, the cooperation between the two sides has borne fruit. This semester, the program attracted 8 students to enroll. The program development situation is well, and will certainly play an important role in boosting the recruitment students of BLCC.
